Welcome to Well Words!
Well hello, there! However you may have found your way here, welcome! I’m so glad we found each other! Grab yourself a cup of coffee and settle in while I tell you a little bit about this blog.
What is Well Words?
Well Words is a blog about faith, family, creativity, and finding beauty in the life we didn’t expect. It’s a place of encouragement and belonging for women who are parenting high-needs children while struggling with their own chronic health issues. I write about how to grow closer to God and cultivate a heart and home of peace amid the daily struggle of emotional chaos in our homes.
These blog posts are geared specifically toward women struggling with the disillusionment of their motherhood experience looking nothing like they dreamed it would. Here you will find simple projects and thoughts to bring beauty to your home, peace to your heart and living water to your weary soul.
Why Well Words?
I write about the struggles of this very difficult journey because this is a road I have walked, and am still walking! I am learning to find my identity in Jesus and help my children do the same, despite whatever challenges we face within ourselves. The problem is, I have trouble letting go.
My greatest fear is failing as a mother and falling short of God’s calling on my life. My biggest faith struggle is overcoming a deep, nagging fear that I will never measure up, and somehow God is always disappointed in me. I “over-feel” everything and my over-active imagination certainly doesn’t help. I want to find myself and my identity in the all-sufficient grace of the One who made me. I am learning that the “missing peace” I have been searching for can only be found in Jesus’ presence, and not in my perfect performance.
Well Words is about finding perfect peace in Jesus while navigating the struggle of dealing with chronic fatigue while raising high needs children.
